What we do
Six things, done by people who only do these six things.
No gutters subcontracted to a stranger, no siding crew who has never met us. One company, one warranty, one phone number when something is wrong.
Roof replacement
Tear off, inspect the deck, build it back right
Almost every roof failure we get called to is a detail failure, not a shingle failure. Water finds the valley that was never lined, the pipe boot that cracked in year eight, the flashing somebody caulked instead of replacing.
So we tear off to the deck every time. We look at the wood, replace what is soft, and rebuild the parts that actually keep water out before a single shingle goes down.
What is always included
- Full tear off to the decking, never a layover
- Synthetic underlayment across the whole roof, not just the eaves
- Ice and water shield in valleys and around every penetration
- New pipe boots, new drip edge, new step flashing
- Ridge vent sized to the attic so the shingles last their rated life
- Ten year workmanship warranty on top of the manufacturer warranty
Material choices
Priced per square foot installed, so you can compare honestly.
- Architectural
- 30 yr rated
- Impact rated
- Class 4, discount
- Standing seam
- 50 yr finish
- Warranty
- Transferable
Class 4 impact rated shingles usually earn a discount on your homeowners policy that pays back a good part of the upgrade.
Ballpark my roofStorm and hail damage
We work the claim so you are not doing it alone
An adjuster spends twenty minutes on a roof he has never seen. If nobody points out the bruised shingles on the north slope, they do not go in the scope, and you find out three years later when the ceiling stains.
We inspect first and tell you honestly whether there is a claim worth filing. If there is, we document it, file alongside you, and stand on the roof with your adjuster.
What that looks like
- Free storm inspection with photographs of every slope
- An honest read on whether a claim is worth filing at all
- Emergency tarping the same day if water is coming in
- We meet your adjuster at the house, every time
- Supplements handled directly with the carrier when the first scope misses something
- You pay your deductible, we handle the paperwork
After a storm, in order
Stop the water
Tarp first. Claims can wait, a wet ceiling cannot.
Document
Photos of every slope, dated, before anything is touched.
File
We give you the language so the claim is opened correctly.
Meet the adjuster
On the roof, with our photos in hand.
Repairs
Not every leak is a new roof
Plenty of companies will not send a truck for a repair because a replacement pays better. We will, and we will tell you how many years the fix should buy you.
Pipe boots
The rubber cracks around year eight and it is the single most common leak we find. An hour of work, not a roof.
Valley and flashing
Where two planes meet or a wall meets the roof. Usually caulked by somebody once already, which is why it failed.
Wind damage
A strip of shingles lifted off the ridge. Matched, sealed and hand nailed back down before the next front.
Chimney and skylight
Re flashed properly with counter flashing cut into the mortar, not smeared over the top of it.
Gutters
Run seamless on site, sized for your roof
Gutter is formed in the driveway to the exact length of your run, so the only seams are at the corners. We size it to the roof area draining into it, which is why the ones on your house overflow at the corner every hard rain.
- Five and six inch seamless aluminum, twenty color choices
- Oversized downspouts where the roof dumps hardest
- Hidden hangers screwed into the fascia, not spiked
- Guards that we would actually put on our own house
Siding and soffit
The rest of the exterior, matched
Hail chews up siding on the same side it damages a roof, and most claims cover both. Rotten fascia and sagging soffit come off the same ladder we are already on.
- Vinyl and composite siding, repaired or replaced
- Fascia and soffit replaced, vented to the attic
- Color matched so the repair is not the first thing you see
- Done in the same visit as the roof whenever we can
Metal roofing
For people who want to do this once
Standing seam costs roughly twice what a shingle roof does and lasts three times as long, so the math works if you plan to stay. The fasteners are hidden under the seam, which is the whole point, since exposed screws are what fail on cheap metal roofs after fifteen years.
We are honest about who should not buy it. If you are selling in three years, put shingles on it.
- Concealed fastener standing seam, twenty four gauge
- Fifty year finish warranty against chalk and fade
- Exposed fastener R panel for shops and barns, priced accordingly
- Usually earns an insurance discount, ask your agent
Shingle or metal
- Shingle life
- 25 to 30 yrs
- Metal life
- 50 yrs plus
- Shingle cost
- $$
- Metal cost
- $$$$
Staying more than fifteen years, metal usually wins. Under that, it rarely does.
Talk it through with usFree inspection
Let us take a look before you file anything
Most roofs we inspect do not need replacing yet, and we will tell you so. When one does, you get photos, a written scope and a number that does not move.
Monday to Friday, 7am to 6pm. Saturdays by appointment. After a storm we run extended hours, so call even if it is late.
